Tot Shabbat

Rabbi Resnick is conducting a special Shabbat service for very young children (5 and under) the first Friday of each month. This interactive service involves some discussion of Shabbat topics and short songs and prayers geared toward little ears. Tot Shabbat services run from 6:30pm to 7:15pm, with a small oneg afterward.

The tot Shabbat services that have been held so far have gone very well. Sitting in a circle with their parents, the children participated in the Rabbi's explanations of Shabbat traditions. The Rabbi also provided song sheets with transliterations. The parents and children sang together and had fun. Several new families with young children came to participate in the service.
