Men's Club

The Men's Club of Nevey Shalom was founded to provide a service arm to the congregation. Throughout its history, it has remained true to this initial charter, having produced many nationally recognized, award-winning programs that are both entertaining and educational. The Men's Club established and maintains a videotape library featuring items of Jewish interest for audiences of all ages, and it has provided audiotapes of Jewish educational and programmatic materials, including important resource tapes and supporting literature for use by the Rabbi. Men's Club fund faising supports permanent improvements to the congregation's physical facilities, to congregational furnishings, and to administrative systems and equipment. It is a founding member of the Bowie Interfaith Recreation Council (BIRC), and it conducts special events and social functions. In addition, the Men's Club provides financial, technical, and personnel support to special programs, such as the Scholar-in-Residence, as well as to the overall synagogue program.
