Support MERCAZ

As the Zionist organization of the Conservative Movement, MERCAZ USA's ability to play an important role within the World Zionist Organization (WZO) and the Jewish Agency (JAFI) is directly tied to two separate but related activities. The first is its membership size. The larger the number of Conservative Jews who are formal members of our Zionist organization, the more effective MERCAZ will be to lobby on behalf of the Conservative/Masorti Movement. The second is the number of votes MERCAZ receives in the elections for the World Zionist Congress that will be taking place later this year in advance of the 2006 Zionist Congress.

It is time NOW for us to show pride in the Conservative/Masorti Movement by joining MERCAZ at www.mercazusa.org. And later this year, LET'S show our support by participating in the upcoming WZO Congress (registration begins on July 1, 2005, and ballots will be mailed on or around December 1, 2005). Those actions will show our commitment to the Conservative/Masorti Movement and will insure the continued funding four OUR Masorti Jews worldwide.

Through your membership in, and votes for, MERCAZ USA, Conservative Jews will be able to help Israelis who are looking for a new way between secularism and Orthodoxy, find greater identify, involvement, and inspiration through the Kehillots and other institutions of Masorti Judaism in Israel. Also, funds secured from the Jewish Agency through MERCAZ help our own North American young people as they participate in USY and Ramah programs in Israel, including NATIV and the Conservative Yeshiva.
