About the Web Site
Content
The creation of content was started in January, 2003, which is why you may not find
earlier material. Archival material may be added as time and resources permit. The
inclusion or exclusion of material is based on the Privacy Policy
and on respecting the copyright of individual authors and artists.
Technical Issues
The Web site was designed using a 17-inch computer monitor set to 16-bit color,
using the Internet Explorer (IE) browser, version 5.0. The developer expects that
the pages will scale on 15-inch monitors. If you have an older monitor that only
displays 256 colors, or if your monitor is not set to at least 16-bit color, some
of the material may display with dithering. Some of the so-called "browser-safe"
colors actually dither in 256-color displays on some monitors.
The displayed size of the fonts can be altered by changing the settings on your browser.
If you have Internet Explorer, select "View" from the top menu and "Text Size" from
the pull-down menu. The site should scale well on larger and smaller base fonts,
except for the graphical full-page calendars.
The pages were designed to use stylesheets to control display properties. If you have
Netscape Navigator 4.x or earlier, your browser will not properly display some formatting,
such as the 3-D look of the navigation buttons on the side. You should still be able to
use the buttons. You can visit the Navigator page and download a newer version of your
browser. You may also do the same if you have Internet Explorer earlier than 5.0. You
should still be able to read the material without the download.
If you experience problems, please contact the Webmaster.

Graphics
The nameplate used on each page was created by Iris Mars. The Shabbat,
Havdalah, and Hanukah candles used on the calendars were also created by Iris Mars.
Permission has been granted to Nevey Shalom to use them freely throughout the Web site.
Photos
Most photos were taken by Larry Levin, Nevey Shalom's unofficial "official" photographer.
Content
Design, layout, photo editing, and content writing were performed by Iris Mars, with
input from Seymour Alloy. Where other authors wrote sections of content, that has been
noted with the content.
